A.C. Lombard’s Sons, Boston, yesterday lost before the Board of General Appraisers in a controversy with the Government dealing with the classification of feathers. They were returned by the appraising officials as being advanced in value or condition, and on this account the Collector took duty at 40 per cent., he stating that the goods were suitable for millinery ornaments.
